No extra agent
The endpoint already has the Automate agent. Reboot IQ uses that channel.
Architecture
Reboot IQ is a native Control Center plugin. It does not add a portal, and it does not install a second agent on the endpoint.
.lic file bound to that Automate server.Co-managed IT
Reboot IQ reads the client and location access already assigned in Automate. Every data-returning query is filtered by that access list.
The same filter covers the dashboard, queue, history, calendar, audit log, and groups. Client IT can manage its own groups and policies when Automate access allows it.
Permission boundaries are enforced in the data query, not merely hidden in the interface. A restricted user cannot retrieve another client’s rows through the plugin.
What stays put
The endpoint already has the Automate agent. Reboot IQ uses that channel.
Detection, the dashboard, history, and license checks run inside the Automate environment.
Client and location access already set in Automate is the access list the plugin queries against.
Plugin-owned tables stay on the customer’s Automate server. Normal operation does not send client environment data to an AllSector cloud store.
The .lic file is validated offline against a public key embedded in the plugin.
One plugin for one Automate instance. Checkout asks for that server’s FQDN.
